Listening to Dennis Brown while growing up as a teen, Al Sencere was inspired to sing. He was born July 23, 1959 as Alrick Donovan Depass aka Junior Spice, Junior Melody and now Al Sencere. The first song that inspired him was Dennis Brown’s What About the Half. His first recording was a Wild Geese production entitled Magic Woman. He used to sing on sounds like Arrows the Ambassador and Supersonic Disco with Bill, Zagga Lo, Liberty, Mello Ranks, Squire and Teddy Ranks. His objective is to keep reggae music alive and stick to his roots as a professional roots and lovers rock singer.
